# Typing Tutor

> Typing Tutor is a free web game that builds typing, spelling and storytelling for kids aged about 6 to 10. Kids log in with an avatar and a PIN. Coming soon.

## Key facts

- A web game for kids aged about 6 to 10 that builds typing, spelling and storytelling.
- 14 games. 3 use AI: The Dragon's Library, Story Potion, Rhyme Time.
- Kids log in by tapping their avatar and typing a 4-digit PIN. Kids have no email address and no account of their own; a parent or teacher creates and manages their profiles.
- Each device is set up once for one family (by the parent, on that device or with a code/QR) or one class (a class code shown on the board for 15 minutes). Its avatar picker only shows those kids; other families never see a kid's name.
- Each kid has a level (1 to 10) per game that goes up on perfect rounds, plus stars and level-up badges. Misspelled words in The Dragon's Library become "Word Monsters" the kid clears by retyping the word.
- Parents get a dashboard with per-kid stats, levels, rounds and a library of every story.
- Schools: each school gets its own address (e.g. yourschool.mytypingtutor.ai), set up with the Typing Tutor team rather than self-serve. A school admin invites teachers; teachers run their classes, bulk-import kids from CSV/TSV text and can print login cards. A kid who plays at school and at home has two separate, unlinked profiles.
- Safety: no chat, and nothing a kid writes is shown to other kids. Story text passes a word filter and then an AI check tuned to picture-book level, both what kids type and what the AI storyteller writes. Storyteller lines that fail are replaced with a gentle fallback line. If the check can't run, the kid's sentence waits rather than going through unchecked.
- Story text is used only to run the safety check and the AI storyteller, and to show the grown-up the story. It isn't used to train AI.

- No ads, no tracking, no selling data. Visits are counted with cookie-free analytics.
